Floral Design Workshop at Kingsland Manor: Autumn Vase and Arrangement

Kingsland Manor continues its series of hands-on classes with a second adventure in floral design -- just in time for the fall holidays!

This 3.5-hour workshop will teach two fun skills: tole painting and floral design. You will first learn the art of painting on glass as you create a unique vase with a pumpkin motif. While the paint dries, we'll take a short break for coffee and snacks. Then, it will be time to create a sumptuous floral arrangement with hydrangeas, roses, sunflowers and more. The instructor will walk you through the process while sharing her expert knowledge on the care and handling of flowers, advanced flower-arranging techniques, and where to obtain materials. About the teacher:  Janet  J. Corrao,  AIFD, CFD, is an accredited member of the American Institute of Floral Design. Janet achieved Judge-Evaluator ranking in 2018. Her stunning arrangements have graced numerous Kingsland Manor events. Janet is also a Master Gardener and is restoring the Manor's garden to a historically accurate colonial herb and flower garden. Tickets are $65, which includes all materials, instruction, use of tools, and refreshments. The workshop is limited to the first 12 who register.
