New roofs!

If you passed by the Manor during the first half of July, you probably noticed the workers who were restoring the roofs on the two side wings of the house. Those roofs were deteriorating, and we needed to take on this major restoration project to avoid serious damage to the house. Fortunately, the work finished in time for the mega-rainstorms that hit in in late July. The new roofs are historically accurate for the 1700s building. They're made of cedar shakes that will soon become a silvery gray to match the central roof, which was restored several years ago.
